Aegis Staff about Mom's 90th Birthday

On Sep 27, 2011, at 1:55 AM,  I sent an e-mail to the Aegis staff the day that Mom was moving in with Doris.  I also told them about Mom’s wanting to get her hair cut and my making an appointment but fearing that that would be too much for the moving day.  I mentioned the Walk to End Alzheimer’s walk the past Saturday.
The executive director answered at 2:44 AM.
I then wrote back.
Wow, Sonia, you’re up early!  Thank you for your quick response, and thank you for letting Sarah Jane know about the appointment.  I’ll contact her in the future.
On another topic, we’re starting to plan Mom’s 90th birthday at Aegis, rather than at her home of 45 years, where I think she envisions having it.  She speaks of having it on Halloween so she can be “a witch and show that not all witches are bitches,” but we’re a little bit concerned that if people are in costume and she’s in a strange area, she’ll be totally disoriented.
We’re still trying to decide whether to reserve the room for Saturday, October 22 or Saturday, October 29.  We’d like to have a sing-along in the main living room.  Would that be possible?  I’ve taken pictures of the rooms and printed them out to show to Mom so that she’ll be familiar with the places she doesn’t know very well.  (I try to get her out there, too, but that’s not always so easy.)
                I’ll be in today around 2:00 P.M.

                Thanks again!
                Tina

Tina,

What fun!

Absolutely, we can set up a party in the main living room or private room.

Let's discuss further when you come in today.

Thanks!

I don't think this is the kind of community-provided bench the SF Chronicle was talking about today in its article https://www.sfchronic...
