German Clouds and Good Formations in Mom's Clearing Mind

Some of the most beautiful pictures I have of Germany are pictures I have because of Mom’s love of clouds and Jan Brockhaus’ advice.

Today Javier, Evelyn, Walter and I went to the de Young Museum to see the Dutch Masters, and I was interested that some of the their painting have 2/3 of the space devoted to clouds in the sky.
But back in 2011, early June, I told Jan about how much my mother loved clouds, and he, a professional photographer, advised me to take pictures in Berlin of mostly clouds and just a tiny bit of the iconic structures.  I love the results!

Meanwhile Suzy was happily reporting on the changes that made Mom seem like the Other Mother—the one with a clear mind, only fluffy cloud formations, not much blocking the sun.

June 4, 2011 report from Suzy:

I can't believe how well Mom's doing. It blows my mind. I stayed two hours. Would have left maybe an hour earlier, but she really wanted me to stay, and since I could, I did.

She ate two scones and a Nestle's chocolate milk, asking if there were more Nestle's when she'd finished it!

Kay was out in the dining room the entire two hours until the very tale end, which made it much nicer because Mom was freed from having to worry too much about her.

Mom's paranoia and her OCD seem gone. It's something.

She did, however, pee all over herself after she'd gotten to the bathroom. I don't know what happened. Did she just not have time to take her pants down?? But when she called me in, two of her pullups were soaked, her slacks had wet places on them (had two pairs of slacks on, layered) and even her nightgown, which she was wearing over two tops and the two pair of slacks, had some urine on it. So I had her peel everything off, put the clothes in the laundry basket, and asked the tech when they could be washed. He said right now, and took care of it. I like that! I got her into dry clothes, And all was well.

We played checkers and she didn't have confusion, except for the confusion that she expressed of why in the world were we playing checkers of all things! She said, "I usually prefer word games." Wonder if she'd be up to Scrabble again right now, she's doing so well...

I don't think this is the kind of community-provided bench the SF Chronicle was talking about today in its article https://www.sfchronic...
