"Gotta Go, Honey. The Cops Are Coming."

A Call to Mom, Monday, August 8, 2011

Dear Suzy and Jonathan,

I’m not going in to see Mom today, but I wanted contact with her,  so since she told Dana I never come but I call on the phone, I called on the phone.
When I asked her how she was doing, she said, “Not too hot.  The cops are coming.”
I said, “Oh, dear!  What’s happened?”
She said, “I don’t know.  We’ll find out when the cops get here.”
I said, “Well, Mom, I wanted to tell you that I’m coming to visit you tomorrow morning around 10:00.”
She said, “Well, that’s wonderful, honey!  I’ll be happy to see you.  But now I’ve got to go because the cops are coming.”
                So I let her go.

                Love,
                Tina/Mom
