Former ESL Student-present and future friend Sandra Pulido made the day! I'd been excited about seeing Saype's installation "Beyond Walls" at the Yerba Buena Center, but it was no longer there! You can see our shadows as we examined the traces. I guess they'd removed it to put up the tents for Indigenous People's Day October 12th, but the Chronicle had promised a longer stay--and it had been "installed" only three days! But Sandra gave us each a copy of her PhD Dissertation along with the colorful book marks you see here, and Erika and I got to see her, so the day had its rewards!
