MUNI Is Doing This Well: Getting Us Downtown without a Tunnel

As a resident of Parkside who uses the streetcars regularly to get downtown, I was alarmed when I heard that the tunnel between West Portal and the Castro Station would be closed for two years!
But I have to commend MUNI for the relatively smooth transition to shuttle buses.

I've gotten from West Portal to "Soft Power" at the Curran Theater,  to the dedication to our Sister Cities at Powell and Market, and to the Families Belong Together march in Dolores Park without much delay.

The MUNI employees have been very polite and helpful, indicating that MUNI knows how to recruit and train!
