City College of San Francisco Flex Day and Comraderie

Now that Feliciano, Santos, and another have moved in the sofa I found at a garage sale on Vicente and 14th, I can write a little bit about Flex Day, which took us back to the campus today--a really bright and beautiful day for worried teachers.  But before I left, I read a letter to the editor in today's San Francisco Chronicle titled "CCSF, Let me in!"  by Betsy Eddy:

CCSF, let me in

The City College of San Francisco class registration process is frustrating.
After enrolling in CCSF online one day and then following the steps in the subsequent three e-mails to register for one class, I was prevented from registering because I failed twice to get my user name and password correct.
My only recourse now is to take time off from work and go to the Phelan Campus during business hours on Monday in order to re-establish CCSF Student Web access. This can be done only in person.
Many excellent classes might be canceled at CCSF for lack of enrollment because the registration process is difficult and confusing. No wonder class enrollment for CCSF is down.

CCSF let me in, and after I peeked into the Duplicating room, I decided too many people were using the copy machine and started up the stairs.  Anita came after me to say, "Tina, your copies are ready."  I thought that was so thoughtful of her.  If everything at CCSF ran as efficiently as Duplicating, the ACCJC wouldn't dare take away our accreditation.

More tomorrow...But I should at least report that the Federal Department of Education validated three of the complaints made against the ACCJA:  Conflict of interest, no prior warning of deficiency (just recommendations), and not enough faculty in the composition of visiting teams.

I don't think this is the kind of community-provided bench the SF Chronicle was talking about today in its article https://www.sfchronic...
